Genital Edema and Lymphorrhea

About Genital Edema and Lymphorrhea

The genital edema, such as a scrotal edema is often called in the literature, lymphatic reflux. In these patients the lymph from the abdomen (chyle) and lower extremities can flow into the testicular area.

In these patients we initially perform the DCMRL, that can demonstrate the location of the leak (Figure). We will then perform the intranodal lymphangiography and lymphatic embolization with N-BCA glue to close the abnormal lymphatic flow.
